Police are seeking the public's assistance to find a missing man regarded as an "at-risk adult."

Brian Brandt, 37, was last seen about 5:40 p.m. Monday leaving his house located at 368 Corte Maria, in Chula Vista, according to Chula Vista Police Lt. Lon Turner.

Brandt is mildly mentally retarded and has been diagnosed with Prader- Willi syndrome, Turner said. Prader-Willi syndrome is a genetic disorder characterized especially by short stature, mental retardation and excessive appetite.

Brandt was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, white shirt, blue jeans, gray shoes and large blue rim glasses, Turner said. He is white, 5 feet 5, 132 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.

He is in need of his daily medication, which includes Topamax, Clarinex, Hytrim and Nexium, Turner said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call Chula Vista police at (619) 691-5151.
