Dancing With The Stars Tour Official Contest Rules
** You must agree to the rules in order to enter the contest. **
1. How It Works: No purchase or payment of any money is necessary to enter. There is no cash or exchange value for prizes, and prizes are not transferable. All federal, state and/or local rules and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law. The Dancing With the Stars Tour Giveaway (referred to as DWTS-G) contest runs from November 13 to November 27, 2007.
2. Eligibility: Must be 21 or older to enter. The contest is open to all legal U.S. residents of San Diego County. Employees of KGTV, The McGraw-Hill Companies, and Internet Broadcasting Systems, its parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, all sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies and all others associated with the development and execution of this contest and their respective employees, families, and assigns are not eligible to enter.
3. To enter: Contestants will enter online at 10News.com beginning November 13, 2007 by going to Contests on the home page and clicking on Dancing With The Stars Tour Contest and filling in the required fields. All entries must be posted by 6:00pm Pacific Standard Time on November 26, 2007.
4. Prizes: The two Grand Prize winners will win a pair of tickets for seats at a ringside table for 4. The grand prize includes a glass of champagne, program book and gift for each patron.
5. Selection of winners: A total of twenty (20) finalists will be selected at random. During 10News at 6AM, (10) ten finalists will be shown on screen. Viewers will be asked to call in when they see their names and the first caller wins a pair of tickets, for a total of 2 (two) winners chosen; one on November 20 and one on November 27. All winners are final. Winners must identify themselves with a valid driver’s license or state identification card and complete and sign an affidavit of eligibility, release and indemnification in the time period specified by the station to claim the prize. Prizes not claimed will be forfeited. No substitution or transfer of prize will be permitted. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. Payment of all taxes and fees, and procurement of all licenses is solely the responsibility of the Prize Winner.
6. Conditions: The contestants and winners release the owners and employees of KGTV and The McGraw-Hill Companies, its parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, Internet Broadcasting Systems, Inc. (IBS) all sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies, and all others associated with the development and execution of this contest and their respective employees, families, and assigns, from and against any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from the contest and the awarding and use of the prizes, including liability for personal injury and/or property damage. By entering, unless prohibited by law, the winners consent to use of their names, photographs and/or likeness for advertising or publicity purposes for this and similar promotions without compensation. KGTV and 10News.com retain the discretion to make decisions regarding the interpretations and applications of these rules. All decisions of KGTV and 10News.com are final. KGTV, 10News.com and IBS are not responsible for any computer and/or email malfunctions, failure of any email provider service or any other impediment to delivery of entries.
7. Responsibility & Liability: The sponsors, KGTV, The McGraw-Hill Companies, 10News.com, and IBS assume no responsibility or liability for damages, losses or injuries resulting from the use of or acceptance of any prize. The sponsor reserves the right, on its sole and absolute discretion to interpret compliance with the letter and intent of these rules, and to disqualify any applicant deemed to have violated these rules or to have filled out any application incorrectly at anytime prior to the distribution of prizes. Additions or deletions to the rules are subject to change without notice. In the event the contest is postponed for any reason, the timetable may be altered at the discretion of KGTV.
8. Odds of Winning: The odds of winning depend upon the number of people entering.
9. Grand Prize: One pair of tickets for seats at the Dancing With The Stars Tour at a ringside table for 4. The grand prize includes a glass of champagne, program book and gift for each patron.
11. Estimated Value: The value of the Grand Prize is approximately $700.
