Children and teens in the Jamul area who suffered losses in the Harris Fire can sign up for $200 mall shopping sprees, courtesy of a group devoted to helping young people recover from the recent wildfire, organizers said.

The shopping sprees are being funded with donations collected by a volunteer group called Having A Positive Profound Impact, also known as HAPPI, organizer Christine Stacey said.

So far, at least 50 children and teens have signed up for the shopping sprees, which will be held at Westfield Parkway Plaza in El Cajon. Half of the participants will shop on Nov. 12, the others on Nov. 18, Stacey said.
