The condition of an injured Mission Hills High School football player is improving slightly.

Scott Eveland has been moved to a rehab center at Palomar Medical Center, where he will learn how to sit up on his own and respond to stimuli.

However, doctor's said he's still in serious condition.

Eveland fell into a coma Sept. 14, after suffering a head injury during a game.
