Two Armed Men Rob Apartment While Searching For Marijuana

Police Saturday are searching for two armed men who forced their way into an apartment, flashed a gang sign at five men inside who were playing video games, then shouted, "where's the weed?"

Two men who wore bandanas to cover their face broke into an apartment at about 9 p.m. Friday and forced the five occupants to pause their video game and lie on the floor, police said.

The robbers asked the victims where they kept their drugs, while binding them with duct tape. The intruders searched the house, at the 5900 block of El Cajon Boulevard, and took off with a laptop and cell phone, Sgt. Nemetz said.

When the men were finished in the apartment, they shot a round into the house, then left in one of the occupants' classic cars, a 1977 Chevy Caprice, Nemetz said.
