Woman Injured After Car Overturns On I-5

Witnesses: Driver Traveling At High Speed When Crash Occurred

A 22-year-old woman suffered minor injuries when the vehicle she was driving overturned on Interstate 5 Monday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash, just south of Nobel Drive, was reported about 10 a.m., the CHP said.

An off-duty medic helped pull the woman from the vehicle, the CHP said. She was taken by paramedics to Scripps La Jolla Hospital, according to the CHP.

There were no other reports of injuries.

Witnesses said the woman had been driving at a high rate of speed prior to the crash, according to the CHP.
