EL CAJON, Calif. -- A man who was found dead near a major indoor marijuana farm in a home near Jamul at was identified Sunday as 32-year-old Jerrad Fletcher, said investigator James Buckley of the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.

Fletcher's father found the dead man at 8:50 a.m. Friday at their home at 1889 Hillsdale Road, a rural area between Jamul and El Cajon, sheriff's Lt. Dennis Brugos said. The younger Fletcher was already dead, from at least one gunshot wound, said Brugos.

Firefighters who were originally called to the scene brought in homicide investigators when they found the body and an indoor marijuana-growing operation.

Deputies would not, however, say if Fletcher's demise was a result of the marijuana-growing operation.

Neighbors said cars were always coming and going from the house and that there were loud voices and dogs barking at all hours.
