Courts and all San Diego city and county government offices will be closed Monday in observance of Labor Day.

Refuse and recyclables will be collected one day later than usual in the city of San Diego through next Friday, according to Mayor Jerry Sanders' office. Garbage collection will return to its normal schedule on Sept. 10.

Tickets won't be issued for expired city parking meters or in areas scheduled for street sweeping.

City and county libraries will be closed, as will community and recreation centers. The city's pools will be open.

All city and county parks will be open on Monday. The Balboa Park, Mission Bay and Torrey Pines municipal golf courses will also be open, according to the mayor's office.

There will be no mail delivery on Monday.

Metropolitan Transit System trolleys and busses will operate on a holiday schedule, as will North County Transit District service.

The courts and San Diego city and county government offices will resume normal schedules on Tuesday.
