What Is Closed On July 4th?

Courts and all San Diego city and county government offices will be closed Wednesday in observance of the Fourth of July.

Refuse and recyclables will be collected one day later than usual in the city of San Diego starting tomorrow and lasting through Friday. Garbage collection will return to its normal schedule on Monday.

Tickets won't be issued for expired city parking meters or in areas scheduled for street sweeping Wednesday.

City and county libraries will be closed Wednesday, as will community and recreation centers. The city's pools will remain open.

All county parks will be open. The Balboa Park, Mission Bay and Torrey Pines municipal golf courses will also be open.

There will be no mail delivery Wednesday.

Metropolitan Transit System trolleys and buses will operate on a Sunday schedule, as will North County Transit service. The Coaster will operate a special round trip schedule for the Padres game.

The courts and San Diego city and county government offices will resume normal schedules on Thursday.
