SAN DIEGO -- Two men showed consideration for their robbery victims by returning their ID cards after holding them up inside an Ocean Beach home, authorities said Thursday. After knocking on the door at a residence in the 1700 block of Sunset Cliffs Boulevard about 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, a man with a shotgun and his accomplice forced their way in when two men answered -- but the intruders looked surprised, San Diego police said. The robbers asked for "Zokie" and were told nobody by that name lived there, Sgt. Rich Nemetz said. One of them then said, "While I'm here, give me your wallet," according to Nemetz.
Both residents complied but asked for their IDs back, Nemetz said. The robbers then took the identifications out and handed them over, he said. They left the home and were last seen driving away on Del Monte Avenue in a late-model gold Honda with tinted windows, Nemetz said.
