Barbolak currently plays piano and performs stand-up at the Comedy Store in La Jolla. After months of auditions and regional competitions across the country, Nick at Nite selected 12 moms to advance to the semi-final round in the competition. After viewing submitted online videos, a 13th mom was voted in by viewers via nickatnite.com.All 13 moms competed in the semi-final showcase in Los Angeles. From there, six moms were chosen to move on to the next round of the competition to compete in various comedic challenges, work with special coaches and prepare for performances where week by week, one mom was eliminated by celebrity judges Kim Coles and Hal Sparks. The three remaining contestants competed in the show's finale, performing their stand-up before an audience, the judges and Barr.
