Mental Competency Hearing Set For Man Accused Of Stabbing Couple

SAN DIEGO -- New developments this Monday in the stabbing of a couple in Hillcrest, 10News reported. Jared Jacobson, who is accused of the crime, is scheduled for a mental competency hearing Monday. Witnesses said Jacobson stabbed the couple outside a Hillcrest pharmacy, then sat on a curb and smoked cigarettes until police arrived to arrest him. This will be the second mental competency hearing for Jacobson after his attorney requested a second opinion. In previous court appearances, Jacobson shouted and tried to fire his attorneys and the judge. The two victims have since recovered.
