SAN DIEGO -- A section of Dehesa Road remained closed to most traffic Thursday due to the ongoing investigation into the discovery of a body believed to be that of Danielle van Dam, 10News reported.
Dehesa Road, between Harbison Canyon and Willow Glen roads, was closed shortly after searchers looking for the missing Sabre Springs 7-year-old found the body of a child off the roadway Wednesday afternoon.
Only residents or those with legitimate business in the area are being allowed through the road blocks, California Highway Patrol officer Paula Todd said.
Julie Day, golf shop manager at nearby Singing Hills Resort and Country Club, said that she didn't have any problem getting to work this morning.
"They let us through when we told them where we were going," Day said.
Day said that the CHP officers and county road personnel at the barricades were also apparently allowing golfers through.
"We've had people show up for their morning tee-times," Day said. "So, apparently they didn't have any problem getting through."
Todd said she was unsure when the barricades would come down, but that they would likely remain in place for the duration of the police investigation.
