UPDATED: 11:14 am PDT March 23, 2007

Authorities sought Friday a man who they said wounded two people with a knife in the emergency room of a North County hospital.

Deputies were called to the Fallbrook Hospital, 624 E. Elder St., shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday and were told that a person was in the emergency room "stabbing people," according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

On arrival they found two injured adults -- a man, Micheal Tetu, with cuts and stab wounds to his chest and leg, and a woman, Felicia Ryon, with slashes to her hand, sheriff's Lt. Sylvester Washington said.

The attacker, a man with a shaved head last seen wearing a white tank top, fled from the medical center after the attack, he said.

Although the exact motive of the assault was unclear, the attack may have been a domestic violence incident, Washington said.

The suspect's name was withheld.
