SAN DIEGO --
The Giant Panda lineup at the San Diego Zoo may be up for some changes next year.Of the three pandas currently on exhibit, only the female Bai Yun will remain.A new male panda, 9-year-old Gao Gao, will likely move into the zoo in late 2002, replacing ailing 25-year-old Shi Shi, who will return to China.
Also, youngster Hua Mei, who was born at the zoo a little more than two years ago, will probably go to China when she turns 3 in August. The 12-year loan agreement that brought Shi Shi and Bai Yun to San Diego in 1996 said the two pandas are supposed to return to China by 2008, and all offspring must leave the zoo on their third birthday.
