SAN DIEGO -- About 1,000 people marched in downtown San Diego Saturday to protest the war in Iraq on the fourth anniversary of the American-led coalition invasion.Protesters, many of them holding signs demanding the United States get out of Iraq, marched down Broadway from Horton Plaza.
One man whose son was killed in Iraq told 10News he thought the war was illegal.A few counter-protesters also attended. One of them, a marine named Daniel Cord, told 10News, "We'll pull out when the job is done."10News reported, that one antiwar demonstrator approached several President George W. Bush supporters and began arguing with them, but police prevented the confrontation from escalating.Four people, including several protestors, were questioned, but there were no reported arrests, according to the TV station.Saturday's event coincided with rallies held in various U.S. cities, including Washington, D.C.
