Non-Injury Fire Causes $175,000 In Damages

Blaze Occured In Mission Village City Building

A non-injury fire caused an estimated $175,000 damage to a city of San Diego building in Mission Village, authorities said Friday.

The blaze was reported shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday at in the 9500 block of Aero Drive, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. It was not immediately clear what city department the building houses.

Firefighters knocked down the flames within 30 minutes, a dispatcher said, adding no injuries were reported.

Damage was estimated at $100,000 to the structure and about $75,000 to the contents, he said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
