Camp Pendleton-Based Servicemen Killed In Combat

Men Died While Conducting Combat Operations

Two Camp Pendleton-based servicemen killed in combat in Iraq last week have been identified.

Navy Hospitalman Lucas W.A. Emch, 21, of Kent, Ohio, and Staff Sgt. Dustin M. Gould, 28, of Longmont, Colo., died Friday while conducting combat operations in Anbar province, according to the Defense Department.

Emch was assigned to 1st Marine Logistics Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force, according to the Pentagon.

Gould was assigned to the 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force, military officials said.
