Kristen Castillo produces investigations and consumer news stories for 10News.She has worked at the station since 1999 -- first as an assignment editor and then as a producer.A Connecticut native, Kristen is a graduate of Fairfield University with a B.A. in Communications and English.
In addition to producing investigative reports, Kristen has produced dozens of stories for the 10News "Come Clean" series about cleaning up San Diego’s trash problem, for which the station won a national litter prevention award from Keep America Beautiful.She is an Emmy winner, as well as the recipient of many other professional awards, including honors from the San Diego Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, the San Diego Press Club, Best of the West and Lincoln University’s Unity Award in Media.Contact Kristen at Kristen_Castillo@10news.com
