Heidi Ortiz is the 10News Ombudsperson and an Associate Producer for Investigations.A San Diego native, Heidi graduated from SDSU with a Bachelors Degree in Journalism.As a student, she interned with Marti Emerald and the TroubleShooter Team for a year.
After college, she worked at the San Diego Better Business Bureau handling consumer complaints.Heidi returned to 10News in 1996 as the Ombudsperson for the TroubleShooter Unit.Heidi enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.They love traveling, camping and watching the Padres.She listens to viewer complaints and works to assist those viewers in resolving their conflicts with various businesses and government agencies.Heidi also researches and produces consumer and investigative stories for broadcast.Contact Heidi at Heidi_Ortiz@10news.com
