The San Diego County District Attorney's Office declined Wednesday to file charges against a longtime RV park maintenance worker accused of raping a resident, pending further investigation.

Raymund Pedro Jesus, 44, was arrested Friday at the Champagne Lakes RV Resort in the 8300 block of Nelson Way near Escondido.

Sheriff's Lt. William Donahue said the 37-year-old alleged victim reported that she answered the door when Jesus knocked, and he raped her.

The woman, who had been at the park for two days, said she lost consciousness, and called for help when she came to, according to Donahue.

Jesus needed to be arraigned Wednesday or be freed from the Vista Detention Facility.

Deputy District Attorney Brenda Daly said she needed more time to investigate the woman's allegations, and could file charges at a later time.
