No Injuries Reported After Van Crashes Into Store

POSTED: 3:30 pm PST January 23, 2007
UPDATED: 4:05 pm PST January 23, 2007

Amador Ramirez was just trying to park his van in a handicapped spot when it kept going, straight into an Albertsons market.

“I tried to step on the brake, but I could not find it. I think I lost motion in my feet,” said Ramirez.

Customers and employees were able to get out of the way and nobody was injured in the accident.

“I was concerned about the people inside,” said Ramirez.

He was also wondering what happened to his legs.

Ramirez’s wife was in the car, shaken but OK.

Employees helped each other with the cleanup and the store remained open.

As Ramirez’s car was towed away, he wondered if he would ever drive again.

Police said Ramirez won’t be charged with a crime in the incident, but will most likely lose his license.
