28,570 Pounds Of E-Waste Collected

POSTED: 11:55 am PST January 3, 2007
UPDATED: 7:23 pm PST January 26, 2007

One Jan. 13, 10News had its first big Come Clean event of the new year.

It gave you a safe and easy way to get rid of your old computers, cellphones, TVs and other electronics (working or not).

The California Toxic Substance Control Department worked with 10News to collect the e-waste.

About 28,600 pounds of e-waste was collected from 517 donors.

Goodwill Industries is still accepting donations. It does not, however, accept household hazardous waste such as paint, light bulbs and batteries.
