LA JOLLA, Calif. -- The seasonal rope barrier used to protect the harbor seals and their pups is going back up Saturday, 10News reported. The city of San Diego received a federal permit Friday to install the barrier.
Animal activists and swimmers have clashed at the children's pool for several years. The rope barrier is meant to keep people from getting too close to the seals. Pupping season runs from January to May. The rope will be removed in June.
