Changes are being made to the popular Web site Craigslist.com.

The online classifieds site said it will begin charging $25 for job postings lasting 30 days or more in San Diego as well as Boston, Seattle and Washington D.C.

New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco are already among the cities where Craigslist charges for its ads.

The company said its motivation is to reduce the number of spam ads and to reduce the number of duplicate postings by legitimate employers.
