SAN DIEGO - San Diego police are looking of a man suspected of shooting two people in Valencia Park Tuesday.
The shooting was reported at about 10:05 a.m. in the 5400 block of Churchward Street, according to police dispatchers.
Officers arrived to find a 35-year-old gunshot victim, SDPD public affairs Lt. Andra Brown said. Medics took the man to a hospital for treatment of apparently non-life-threatening head and leg wounds, she said.
A short time later, someone made an emergency call from a clothing store on North Euclid Avenue in National City to report that a man there was suffering from a minor gunshot wound.
That person did want to tell police what happened to him, claiming he had been shot Monday night, but Brown said a woman with the man told police the shooting happened on Churchward Street.
Authorities described the suspected shooter as a male in his 20s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall with a thin-built.
Police said the suspected shooter had a rifle and was wearing black shorts and a white shirt.
