1 hospitalized after crash involving Border Patrol vehicle

SAN DIEGO - One person was taken to the hospital Monday after a crash involving a Border Patrol vehicle and a pedestrian in the Tijuana River Valley.

The incident occurred just after 4:20 p.m. in the 2400 block of Monument Road, off a dirt road in a canyon.

The pedestrian, who was taken to UCSD Medical Center to be treated, may have been on a bicycle. It is unclear if the Border Patrol agent, who may have been on an ATV, was injured.
