OCEANSIDE (KGTV)--Two pedestrians were struck, one fatally, by an Amtrak train Sunday night, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
The collision happened around 10:25 p.m. on the railroad tracks near Cassidy Street when two men were seen walking on the edge of the tracks.
Despite the Amtrak train going into emergency braking, it struck both of the men and one was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second man was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
