The shooting in the 4500 block of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard was reported at 7:44 p.m. Monday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.

The woman, who is in her 20s, drove to the residence with two men in a pickup to retrieve a couch, Delimitros said in a statement.

Once there, the trio was met by two more men, one of whom was armed with a shotgun, Delimitros said.

He pointed the shotgun at the trio and the woman pushed the barrel away just as it went off, he said, noting officers arrived quickly and the gunman was arrested a few minutes later. His name was not immediately released.
