Gas prices are going up in San Diego; average price now $3.68 -- 6.3 cents higher than a year ago

SAN DIEGO - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County went up six-tenths of a cent Monday to $3.678, one day after increasing nearly a penny.

The average price is 4.8 cents more than one week ago, 6.6 cents higher than one month ago and 6.3 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has gone up six times in the past seven days, including 1.5 cents on Saturday.
