SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - This weekend, San Diegans will celebrate Earth Day will events around the county centered around a sustainable, environmentally-friendly living.

Part of that future involves the way locals shop, as well.

So to honor Earth Day, a handful of retailers are holding special promotions for customers to promote energy-efficient products.

Here are some deals to check out around San Diego:

Amazon

Through April 22, Amazon customers can get 20 percent off warehouse deals, including returned, refurbished, and used items.

Apple

Recycle your old Apple device in-store or online receive credit toward a new Apple purchase. If no credit is available, Apple will recycle the product for free. Through April 30, Apple will make a donation to Conservation International for every device.

Guitar Center

Guitar Centers will celebrate Earth Day nationwide, offering customers a new set of guitar strings for free if they bring in their used strings on April 21 and 22. Old strings will be recycled.

IKEA

From Saturday to Sunday, IKEA will hold workshops, giveaways, and discounts to mark their "Make Room for Nature" event.

MoBike

This one isn't quite a deal for consumers, but is for the environment! MoBike will plant a tree for every 100 km biked with its dockless bicycles from April 15 through April 22.

National Parks

Visit San Diego's Cabrillo National Monument for free on Saturday, April 21, to mark the beginning of National Park Week.

Target

Target stores across the country will take your old or unwanted car seat in exchange for a 20 percent off coupon toward a new car seat, booster seat, car seat base, travel system or stroller from their stores or online, beginning April 22 and running through May 5.
