Rico, a 10-year-old German Shepherd mix, is looking for a new best friend. He was found as a stray in early May and has taken his time warming up to his new environment. Shelters can be a bit stressful, especially for an older dog like Rico, and he can’t wait to find a nice quiet home to relax in. He is a very sweet and friendly gentleman who would love to be spoiled by his new family. He walks great on leash, and enjoys leisurely walks around the neighborhood to stretch and explore. Rico’s ideal home would be with a mellow, easy-going family with older, respectful children and a big, soft bed for him to nap on. Rico is such a love, we’re sure he’ll be a very devoted companion to the lucky family who gets to take him home.
