Perry 2000 raises money for Susan G. Komen San Diego

The conclusion of the Perry 2000, a race across the Perry Auto Group's locations in San Diego, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo to sell 2,000 cars, will be April 30.

According to the Perry Auto Group, for every car sold, a donation is made to Susan G. Komen San Diego, with a total goal of donating $100,000 for 2,000 cars sold. The effort is in support of the fight against breast cancer.

On May 9 at 1 p.m., at Perry Ford of National City (2050 National City Blvd.), the Perry Auto Group will present Susan G. Komen San Diego with the donation from sales from the Perry 2000.

"A $100,000 donation from Perry Auto Group would provide over 800 lifesaving mammograms or 2,000 days of meals for women struggling to put food on the table during treatment," said Laura Farmer Sherman, executive director of Susan G. Komen San Diego. "We are so honored to be the beneficiary and appreciate the Perry Auto Group's support."
