Garden Fresh Foods recalls 74 brands of dips, salads due to possible Listeria contamination

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Several pasta salads, ham salads, a dip, a ham salad spread and a chicken salad are being recalled, Garden Fresh Foods announced.

The items were sold under the brands Archer Farms, Market Pantry, D'Amico and Sons, Finest Traditions, Garden Fresh and Weis.

The items are being recalled because chicken and ham in the items may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The recall is for:

- 12 oz. Market Pantry All White Meat Chicken Salad with product code 24103 and code dates 9/24/2013 - 10/14/2013

- 6 oz Archer Farms Rotisserie Chicken Salad with product code 002216 and code dates 09/28/2013 - 10/9/2013

- 11 oz Archer Farms Bacon Parmesan Dip with product code 99017 and code dates 10/12/2013 - 11/8/2013

- 14 oz D'Amico and Sons Chicken Salad with Rosemary with product code 1010254 and code dates 09/24/2013 - 10/10/2013

- 14 oz D'Amico and Sons Chicken & Dried Cherry Pasta with product code 101216 and code dates 10/02/2013 - 10/10/2013

- 6 oz D'Amico and Sons Chicken & Dried Cherry Pasta with product code 101223 and code dates 10/02/2013 - 10/10/2013

- 14 oz D'Amico and Sons Ranch Pasta Salad with Chicken, Spinach & Bacon with product code 100240 and code date 9/24/2013

- 6 oz D'Amico and Sons Ranch Pasta Salad with Chicken, Spinach & Bacon with product code 100233 and code date 9/24/2013

- 12 oz Finest Traditions Ham Salad Spread with product code 388648 and code dates 09/28/13 - 10/18/2013

- 12 oz Garden Fresh Ham Salad with Sweet Relish with product code 6163 and code dates 10/03/2013 -10/12-2013

- 8 oz Weis Ham Salad with product code 05334 and code dates 09/27/2013 - 10/02/2013

The products were distributed to retail and food service establishments nationwide. The problem was discovered through microbiological testing.

The company said it has not received any reports of illnesses due to consumption of these products.
