Google to release new phone tracking app for Android smartphones

Android smartphone owners can soon track down their lost cell phones.
According to a blog post by Android Product Manager Benjamin Poiesz, Google will release the new app to devices running Android version 2.2 or above later this month.
The owner can use the app to find their lost or stolen device on a map and call the phone.
The app also lets the user secretly erase stored data at remote locations.
The exact release date and cost of the app have not been announced.
