SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Movies, beer, and fun in the streets can be found across San Diego County this weekend.

This weekend kicks off with two film festivals (yeah, two) for both children and adults alike. San Diego's International Kids' Film Festival begins in multiple locations in Carlsbad while the Underground Film Festival kicks off in San Diego.

Two street festivals also hit the area this weekend: the La Vuelta Culture Street Festival in Barrio Logan and the Imperial Avenue Street Festival.

Don't forget about Carlsbad's Music Festival and Mira Mesa's Festival of Beers!

San Diego International Kids' Film Festival - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

The International Kids' Film Festival will take place at the Schulman Auditorium, Carlsbad Senior Center, and Howard Brubeck Theatre in Carlsbad. The event aims to promote positive educational impacts on children and youth through innovative films, visual arts, and mixed media by international filmmakers. More information.

San Diego Underground Film Festival - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

San Diego's Underground Film Festival takes place at the Tenth Avenue Arts Center and features video, film, and audio based mediums with an art school-punk rock vibe. More information.

San Diego Festival of Books - Saturday

Thousands of book lovers are expected at Liberty Station this weekend for the first annual San Diego Festival of Books. Forty local authors will be on hand for discussion and book signings in addition to live entertainment, vendors, and other programs. Admission is free and tickets to panel discussions are $3 each - with $1 going toward the San Diego Council on Literacy. More information.

La Vuelta Culture Street Festival - Saturday

Logan Avenue in Barrio Logan will host the La Vuelta Culture Street Festival this weekend. Guests can check out the classic car show, beer garden, live music, and more across Logan Avenue at this free event. More information.

Imperial Avenue Street Festival - Saturday

Check out the food, music, and sights at the Imperial Avenue Street Festival. Four blocks of artists, crafts, food and drinks, and more will keep guests busy during this celebration of Imperial Avenue's history, arts, and culture. More information.

Del Mar Pizza and Beer Fest - Saturday

More than 100 local and international beers, award-winning pizza, and live music will be on display at Del Mar's Pizza and Beer Fest at the Del Mar Racetrack. Entry is included with the purchase of race track admission. More information.

9th Annual San Diego Spirits Festival - Saturday and Sunday

One of the country's top cocktail festivals takes place at San Diego's Port Pavilion this weekend. Check out bartender competitions, seminars, tastings, parties, food, and more at this celebration of mixology. More information.

14th Annual Carlsbad Music Festival - Saturday and Sunday

Everything from contemporary classical to indie rock to world music to electronic music will be on display during the Carlsbad Music Festival. A mix of ticketed mainstage and free outdoor performances will be available, as well as food, a Green Flash beer garden, and artisan market. This year's headliners include Julia Holter, Xiu Xiu, and Noveller. More information.

Bike the Bay - Sunday

San Diego bicyclists will get one of their only opportunities to ride across the Coronado Bay Bridge this weekend at Bike the Bay. The 25-mile route takes bicyclists through Coronado, Imperial Beach, Chula Vista, National City, and back to San Diego for a post-race celebration. More information.

Mira Mesa Festival of Beers - Sunday

More than 40 beers will be available to sample at Mira Mesa's Festival of Beers this weekend, in addition to delicious eats and live music from San Diego's own 80s band, Stay Sweet. Proceeds benefit the Mira Mesa Community Foundation. More information.
