10News honors Jay and Linda Foley for creating a solution for problems associated with identity theft and its prevention.

Linda Foley, a former victim of identity theft, and her husband Jay, founded the Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC) in 1999. Both Linda and Jay have dedicated themselves to assisting other victims, serving as a victim advocate and increasing public and corporate awareness of identity theft.

Jay provides insightful support and assistance to emotionally unstable victims, guiding them away from potential suicidal incidents to practical resolutions of their problems. He has personally helped 300 different victims, and with the support of his team, the ITRC has helped over thousands of victims all over the nation.

An expert in all areas of identity theft victimization, Linda now focuses on family, child and domestic identity theft cases. Besides general audience and business presentations and seminars, she frequently addresses college students, parents and seniors.

Jay and Linda have involved friends, organizations, companies, the media, law enforcement and the legislature in the fight against identity theft. The ITRC is a nonprofit organization.
