Family's Search For Son's Killer Continues

Nearly eight months after a young man was killed at a party in Escondido, the man's family continues to search for information on whoever killed their son.

Julian Rodriguez was killed in February, and there has not been any charges filed in connection with his death.

Rodriguez's family set up a Web site where users can leave anonymous tips, but now they are using street benches to give more attention to the case.

Rosa Rodriguez said her son had run into problems but was trying to change his life.

"He was going to graduate in June, and would have done it if this monster wouldn't have done what he did," said Rosa Rodriguez.

The family is asking anyone with information to come forward.

Julian's father, Raul Rodriguez, said he is offering a $20,000 reward to find whoever killed his son.

"He did get into problems, hung around with wrong crowds; he was learning to get away," said Raul Rodriguez.

The family said they are not giving up, and along with the Web site findjulianskiller.com, they are passing out flyers with information about their son. They also recently bought ads on 20 local street benches to raise awareness.

Rosa Rodriguez said her son was a good kid and did not deserve to be stabbed multiple times.

"He would help anyone. He would give his right arm," said Rosa Rodriguez.
