Documents Detail Items Found In Accused Sex Predator's Home

SAN DIEGO -- 10News obtained new court documents detailing what police found inside the home of accused sexual predator Thomas Parker.According to an inventory list made by the San Diego Police Department, detectives found metal handcuffs inside Parker's bedroom, plastic zip ties in plastic bags and containers in the garage. A Taser was found in the driver's side pocket of his car. Inside the car, they also found an Asian religious medallion.A search warrant revealed police were looking for credit cards, computers, a pink letter bi-fold wallet, an Anne Klein silver watch and ID cards.
The court documents also include police testimony in which officers described what they knew about the attacks.Parker was the owner of It's A Grind Coffee in Little Italy, and neighbors described him as a family man.Parker was accused of sexually assaulting at least seven women, six of them Asian. He was arrested by an off-duty Border Patrol Agent after one of his victims fought him off.He hanged himself inside his jail cell prior to a court appearance.10News hired an attorney and worked with the San Diego Union-Tribune to obtain and unseal the documents. The process took several months, and the court eventually released the documents after redacting the victim's names and informationAttorneys said it is important for transparency in the matter for a number of reasons. Among them, they said, it is important for the public to see how law enforcement functions, and to see if the evidence supports the crime.
