Jennifer Kim joined the KGTV news team in September 2009. She came to sunny Southern California after spending three years at the NBC affiliate in Spokane, Washington, as a general assignment reporter and weekend anchor.

During her time in Spokane, she covered the trial for international fugitive Fred Russell, convicted of killing three Washington State University students in a drunk driving crash. She covered several major wildfires that swept through parts of Eastern Washington, as well as the record snowfall Spokane received during two of her winters there!

Prior to Spokane, Jennifer spent a year in Wichita Falls, Texas, where she received an AP honorable mention for Best Anchor.

Jennifer majored in English and minored in Political Science at UCLA, and considers herself a proud Bruin.

A native Los Angeleno, Jennifer is thrilled to be closer to home.
