Charisse Yu joined the 10 News team in January 2007.

Charisse, a native of Los Angeles, graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Southern California with a BS in Business Administration & Finance.

It was probably her internship at KABC in Los Angeles that prompted her to consider a career change to television. She left the calculators behind and started working for ABS-CBN International in Los Angeles.

Charisse was a correspondent for national and international news segments for the CNN Asia affiliate. Her ability to speak Filipino and Indonesian dialects became a big help. From ABS-CBN, Charisse moved to Washington state to work as an anchor/reporter for KIMA, the CBS affiliate.

She's happy to call San Diego her new home and be closer to her family.
