News Department: 10News offers a fast paced "hands-on" internship in the newsroom and four other related fields. Duties range from setting up stories to contacting city and government officials. Participants sometimes have an opportunity to shadow reporters. Students must be a college junior or senior and must get school credit for their internship. Send resume before calling.All applicants must have a serious interest in broadcast journalism. Ideally, students should have some journalism experience through school coursework, previous internships or work on school newspapers/television news shows. Sales/Research Department: The 10News Sales/Research Department is looking for participants who are able to work in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must be familiar with Excel and Power Point. Candidate will work with Nielsen overnights, create sales 1-sheets/presentations promoting San Diego's 10, create and maintain the program schedule and learn about the advertising aspects of television .
