SAN DIEGO -- A prominent North County medical group must pay $6 million to a doctor fired for exposing allegations of false medical bills.

In its verdict Tuesday afternoon, the jury found that Dr. Seth Bulow was wrongfully fired after he complained that North County OB-GYN was charging patients for services not delivered.

The 10News Investigations team has been following this case for two years.

Doctors Alan Silver, Elizabeth Silverman, Kirstin Lee, Kelley Harkey and Tracy Ruyman were all found to have acted with malice, fraud or oppression.

The jury will next consider punitive damages in the case.
