SAN DIEGO - Authorities are responding to a possible shooting at the Edwards 18 Cinema in San Marcos, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies say a female was struck by an object that came from outside the theater. They believe the wound may have been caused by a gunshot.

Deputies are looking into whether this incident may be related to a fight that took place across the street.

At this point they do not believe the victim was targeted. She was transported to an area hospital. No word yet on her condition.
