Mole Removal Process Proves Painless

No-Scar Technique Gets Excellent Results

There is a painless way to remove moles from the face without scarring and it is a simple technique with immediate results, 10News reported.

Kim Dodd, a survivor of melanoma cancer, has her moles checked regularly.

"I watch them all the time to make sure they don't change," she said.

But this time her concern was not about cancer.

"I just didn't like the way it looked," Dodd said.

Moles are small areas of darkened skin that raise up over time. Most moles appear during early adulthood and some appear on the face, like Dodd's.

"If you don't like it, we can remove it very easily by just putting a little medication underneath the skin surface and shaving it off and making it flat," dermatologist Bob Bushman said.

Dodd has avoided having her facial moles removed because she thought it was a painful process.

"It's a matter of a minute or two to remove the mole and it can be done with almost no discomfort at all," Bushman said.

Flesh and light colored moles can be shaved away leaving a flat surface. The procedure gets excellent results without pain, according to Bushman.

Dodd recalled her mole removal experience and said, "I felt a tiny little prick and that was it." Bushman recommends that this method should not be used for dark colored facial moles. Even though the mole is removed, the dark pigment will remain on the skin surface.
