Entrepreneur Ted Greenberg announced the grand opening of Camp Diggity Dogs, San Diego's newest dog day care and hotel.

The camp is located six blocks east of Petco Park.

Greenberg said Camp Diggity Dogs is basically heaven for your dog.

Dog owners can drop their pooch off at Camp Diggity Dogs on their way to work or when leaving town.

Greenberg said the dogs are left in the hands of trained and caring staff.

The dogs can engage in supervised play with other pups in 10,500 square feet of cage-free, indoor and outdoor play spaces.

Camp Diggity Dogs also has 4,000 square feet of outdoor play space complete with a redwood fence, artificial turf, a swimming pool, two shady cabanas with couches and six palm trees.

There is also a separate play area for puppies, small dogs and quiet time.

Camp Diggity Dogs is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Additionally, the facility offers pick-up and drop-off service, grooming and special retail.
