This category recognizes leaders in the community who are working hard to make a difference in the environment. Through our station initiative Sustain San Diego and now our new Environmental Leadership category, we are spotlighting local citizens who are improving the quality of life in our community through conservation, preservation and sustainability efforts. Leaders in this category display many of the following characteristics:

Serves as an environmental role model for other businesses, organizations or individuals

Fills a community need

Initiates or creates solutions/solves a problem

Involved on an on-going, long-term basis (some exceptions based on committee decision)
