Netflix 'Streamageddon': Nearly 2,000 movies to disappear from movie streaming service
Last Updated: 219 days ago
For Netflix customers, May 1 is being called "Streamageddon" when nearly 2,000 movie titles will begin disappearing from the service.
The reason for the purge of movies has to do with licensing. The titles belong to Warner Bros., MGM and Universal and will soon only be available through the Warner Archive Instant service, according to Mashable .
The majority of movies that have expired are classics, not new releases.
