ABC News is reporting that police have foiled a grisly murder plot against Justin Bieber.

According to the report, the plot involved a convicted killer named Dana Martin, currently imprisoned in New Mexico.

An affidavit said that the plot called for Bieber, his bodyguard and two unnamed victims to be castrated and strangled, according to ABC News.

Martin is currently in jail for murder and rape and hatched up the plot after his attempts to contact the pop star failed.

ABC News said a former inmate and his nephew, Mark Staake and Tanner Ruane, set off to carry out the plan and wanted to catch up with Bieber on Nov. 28 and 29 while he was at concerts in New York.

Martin, Staake and Ruane are charged with several counts of conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit aggravated battery.

The affidavit alleged Martin wanted Ruane to use gardening clippers to cut off the victims' testicles and to strangle them with paisley necktie.
