Pink: 'I quit drugs after teenage club overdose'
Last Updated: 407 days ago
PINK has opened up about her teenage overdose, revealing she hasn't touched a drug since.
The pop star was 15 when she went too far with her drug intake at a club after years of dabbling with Ecstasy, Crystal meth and acid - and the experience, together with an offer that began her singing career, made her get straight fast.
She tells Shape magazine, "It wasn't to the point of going to the hospital, but I remember getting up off the floor in the morning - and that was the last time I ever touched a drug again.
"It was also the day a DJ offered to let me sing on hip-hop night. His only caveat was that I couldn't do drugs, so I didn't. That's the thing with me - once I make up my mind, I'm done."
The Trouble singer has also successfully given up smoking, but she'll never give up wine.
Pink adds, "I'm a wino! I'm taking online classes to learn about different grapes. My dream is to own a winery."
